Oldie But Goodie

A couple of years ago we found this stray kitten under my truck in the driveway. Since we already had two cats I was reluctant to bring it in. My wife won out and we adopted it. Because she had been living outside and eating God knows what for so long she had some...um...intestinal troubles. By that I mean (sorry to be so frank) the worst gas I have ever encountered in my entire life. Not only was it frequent, it was also well beyond foul smelling. Luckily she is now healthy as a horse and no longer has any of her earlier tummy troubles.

We adopted her (and named her Pieces, since her mother's name was Reese's) in August and my wife's birthday is September 2nd, so this is the birthday card I came up with that year. You'll note that one of the cats (Badger) isn't quite as bright as the other (Jewel) so when he has the light bulb idea symbol over his head it is only 65 watts. If you right click and "Open Link in New Window" it will be easier to see.

ROFLOL!! That is too funny. Lucky kitty though. I'm glad Pieces has come through those trying times although I'm sure they were more trying to the rest of the family. What a cutie. The card too.

Thanks for dropping by my blog. The bookcase in my room is only my art bookcase. I have one other smaller one for art too and two more single wide ones in the dining room full of all my other books. I love books! I'm waiting for Amazon's Kindle to hold all my books before buying it! I think I may be waiting a long time.

HAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!! I followed over from Freebird's place. Glad I did.
What a lovely pusscat.

I hope 'healthy as a horse' doesn't mean droppings the size of a horse's. (It's good for the roses, I'm told.)

David, there is nothing funnier in life than potty humor. I regret to inform you that I do not share your love of the feline persuasion. I grew up with feline "brothers" as my Mother refers to them...and I still have an adversion to their hair in my food, their puke on the carpet...and the smell of "spray"...yuck! Nevertheless, your drawings are a riot!!!

PLO, luckily, I have never encountered the whole "spray" thing, probably because we have always had our cats fixed. I am a little OCD so the hair in the food thing also doesn't happen.

Off subject, I saw that you are a huge fan of Johnny Cash...is this true? If so have you ever heard his version of Tom Petty's, "I Won't Back Down"? They had the Tom Petty documnetary on PBS the other night and they showed clips off him doing that song. I went out and got it on my iPod and have been playing it over and over. I even had to learn Johnny's version on guitar.

Kathy, let me know what you think of the book when you are done with it.
